Professional Experience

VIAVI Solutions, 2016-present
Art Director

Creative lead for 6 person in house creative team; providing guidance and keeping all team members in sync. Working in tandem with the Creative Services Senior Brand Manager and other stakeholders to grow and maintainthe brand.

Duties: Developing campaigns that connect messages with audiences, across multiple channels; video, social, digital, events, and print. Collaboration with account leads, engineers, and internal stakeholders from initial brainstorming to execution to bring forth the best solution. Ensuring that all projects are of excellent creative quality, on-brand, and delivered on-time in a fast-paced setting. Driving team success by supporting and leading the creative efforts of junior creative staff.

FREELANCE, 2011-2016
Art Director

Created designs across a range of digital and print platforms. Some client work includes VIAVI Solutions, Sense Networks, Yellow Pages, Pingup, Kensho Kitchen, Burlington Coat Factory, Cadillac, SeaDoo, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, FedEx, Allstate, and small retailer's and agencies in various areas.

Duties: translating wire frames and sketches into high fidelity visual comps; banner ads and correlating landing pages; banner and landing page animation; brand management; infographic design; presentation and pitch deck design; product packaging; logo and stationary packages.

 

MAIDENFORM, 2007-2011
Senior Graphic Designer

Lead designer for numerous labels under the Maidenform brand and mass brands umbrella.

Duties: product, in-store, and promotional collateral; domestic and international market advertising and packaging; print quality and production management; photo editing, silhouetting, and image manipulation; illustration; mood board and presentation design; hiring, management, and direction of freelance designers; domestic and international press and trade event materials.

DKNY Intimates, 2008-2011
Senior Graphic Designer

Sole designer for Maidenform’s license partnership with Donna Karan and DKNY intimates. 

Duties: brand management; visual quality control; domestic and international market advertising and packaging; product, in-store, and promotional collateral and packaging; domestic and international brand catalogs.



WE PILATES Clothing, 2006-2007
Freelance Graphic Designer

Designer and brand manager for a pilates and yoga clothing line.

Duties: Designer and brand manager for a pilates and yoga clothing line. Duties consisted of researching current trends in activewear design, designing and maitnting product matrix, cad development, creating innovative activewear screenprint designs, as well as print production and quality control.



GRADUATE STUDENT TEACHER, 2004-2006
Design Assistant

Independently taught the Intro to Graphic Design Course at Louisiana State University. This course was a prerequisite for applying to the graphic design program.

Duties:  Provided classroom instruction and counseling to undergraduate students. Developed class syllabus and lesson plan. Facilitated, reviewed, and evaluated student assignments.
